Garlic and Thyme Green Beans


  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lbs green beans, trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper


Simple recipes like this one allow the flavors of your ingredients to really shine through. While it is not essential that you use fresh garlic, thyme and lemon juice, it is highly recommended. Check our add-on produce page to order seasonal ingredients that are not in your box.Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add green beans and cook, stirring occasionally, until starting to soften and brown, about 8 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients, stirring well.
